Memphis C. S. Lewis Society Minutes for March 8, 1998 Brockwell Room - Memphis Theological Seminary
Present: Barry Anderson, Dennis Beets, Justice Carmon, Janet Cupo, Andy McClung, Bob Oliver, Judith Oliver. The meeting was opened with prayer. Dennis Beets brought an update on the search for permanent meeting facility. After a thorough investigation of possible meeting accommodations, it was decided to contact Memphis Seminary concerning a permanent arrangement. It was announced that Volume 2 of the Unicorn's Horn is ready for publication. Barry Anderson served as moderator for the program. The discussion focused on Lewis' essay, "Modern Man and His Categories of Thought" found in Present Concerns. There was particular interest in Lewis' thoughts on the emancipation of women. The group decided that the essay warranted further attention and will continue the discussion at the April meeting. The subject of the May discussion will be Boxen. Submitted by Barry Anderson |
