Memphis C. S. Lewis Society Minutes for December 14, 1997 Anderson Home - Midtown Memphis Present: Barry Anderson, Lisa Anderson, Cyd Beets, Dennis Beets, Janet Cupo, Carroll Joachimi, Sandi Knickerbocker, Andy McClung, Tiffany McClung, Ann Marty, Bill Marty.The meeting was opened by reading the Collect of the Day for the Third Sunday of Advent. Dennis Beets reminded everyone that beginning in January, the meetings and program topics will be publicized in the media and through local churches. Two additional newsletter articles are being written by Andy McClung and Collin Brown. Memphis Theological Seminary Library has agreed to archive copies of the newsletter. Barry Anderson served as moderator for the program. The discussion focused on the Lewis' essays: "What Christmas Means to Me" and "Xmas and Christmas" (God in the Dock). Submitted by Barry Anderson |
