Memphis C. S. Lewis Society Minutes of September 12, 1999 meeting Classroom B - Memphis Theological Seminary Present: Barry Anderson, Dennis Beets, Janet Cupo, Rebecca Cupo, Brent David, Knick Knickerbocker, Bob Oliver, Judith Oliver, Ann Marty, Bill Marty, Andy McClung, Jim Remeur, Ruth Remeur, and Joyce Sims. Dennis Beets opened the meeting with prayer. It was noted that the monthly meetings are now listed in the Bulletin Board section of the Commercial Appeal. It was also noted that the web page has been updated. The program was a viewing of the BBC version of the movie Shadowlands, a dramatization of the relationship between C. S. Lewis and Joy Davidman. This was followed by a discussion of the film. The next meeting will be on October 10. The program will be a presentation and discussion on Lewisletter writing. Submitted by Barry Anderson |
