Memphis C. S. Lewis Society Minutes of December 12, 1999 meeting Anderson Home - Midtown Memphis Present: Barry Anderson, Lisa Anderson, Cyd Beets, Dennis Beets, Bob Hunt, Ann Marty, Bill Marty, Andy McClung. Dennis Beets opened the meeting with prayer by reading the Collect of the Second Sunday of Advent.. Several of the members brought copies of Lewisworks to donate to a student in Brazil. The books will be sent to Brazil as soon as possible. The group enjoyed the fellowship of shared food and drink. The program consisted of a discussion about favorite Lewis readings. Reading were presented from Christian Reflections, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, LewisAnthology of George MacDonald and a poem by Lewis. The next meeting will be on January 9 and will be used as a planning session for future activities of the group. Submitted by Barry Anderson |
